Apa itu Majelis Ilmu?
Majelis ilmu adalah pertemuan yang diadakan oleh umat muslim untuk mempelajari dan membahas berbagai aspek ilmu agama Islam. Tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang ajaran Islam, serta memperkuat iman dan taqwa kepada Allah SWT.
Dalam Islam, mempelajari ilmu agama merupakan suatu kewajiban bagi setiap muslim. Oleh karena itu, majelis ilmu dianggap sebagai salah satu cara yang efektif untuk memperoleh pengetahuan dan memahami ajaran agama dengan lebih baik. Majelis ilmu biasanya dipimpin oleh seorang ustadz atau kyai yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keahlian yang cukup dalam bidang agama.
Selain sebagai sarana untuk mempelajari ilmu agama, majelis ilmu juga memiliki nilai sosial yang penting. Pertemuan ini dapat mempererat tali silaturahmi antar umat muslim, sehingga tercipta rasa kebersamaan dan kekeluargaan yang erat. Selain itu, dalam majelis ilmu juga seringkali dilakukan saling mengingatkan antara sesama muslim untuk selalu memperbaiki akhlak dan meningkatkan kualitas ibadah.
Majelis ilmu dapat diadakan di berbagai tempat, seperti masjid, musala, maupun di rumah-rumah pribadi. Adapun waktu yang paling sering digunakan untuk mengadakan majelis ilmu adalah setelah shalat maghrib atau isya. Namun, tidak menutup kemungkinan juga dilakukan di waktu lain yang dianggap lebih sesuai.
Tentang Kafaratul Majelis
Dalam bahasa arab, kafaratul artinya pengorbanan dosa atau kesalahan. Sedangkan majelis artinya duduk.
Kafaratul Majelis adalah doa atau permohonan ampun yang dibaca setelah menghadiri majelis ilmu. Doa ini mengandung harapan untuk meminta ampun atas kesalahan-kesalahan yang telah dilakukan dalam majelis ilmu tersebut, baik yang disengaja maupun tidak disengaja.
Dalam konteks agama Islam, majelis ilmu dianggap sebagai salah satu kegiatan yang sangat mulia dan dianjurkan untuk dilakukan oleh setiap muslim. Oleh karena itu, menghadiri majelis ilmu merupakan suatu kesempatan yang sangat berharga dan harus dihargai dengan baik. Namun, terkadang dalam mengikuti majelis ilmu, seseorang bisa melakukan kesalahan, baik itu berupa ucapan atau perbuatan yang kurang sopan atau yang melanggar tata cara kegiatan tersebut.
Maka dari itu, sebagai bentuk permohonan ampun atas kesalahan tersebut, Doa Kafaratul Majelis dibaca setelah selesai mengikuti majelis ilmu. Doa ini mengandung harapan agar Allah SWT mengampuni segala kesalahan yang telah dilakukan dan memberikan kemudahan dalam memahami ilmu agama yang telah disampaikan.
Bacaan Doa Kafaratul Majelis
Membaca doa kafaratul majelis adalah cara untuk mengungkapkan rasa syukur kepada Allah SWT karena lancarnya jalannya sebuah majelis. Doa ini sebenarnya merupakan suatu bentuk kesadaran bagi umat muslim bahwa kelancaran sebuah majelis hanya terjadi atas kehendak Allah SWT semata.
Sebelum mengakhiri sebuah majelis ilmu, hendaknya berdoa sebagai bentuk rasa syukur atas ilmu yang telah diperoleh. Dan sekaligus memohon ampunan atas segala kesalahan dan kekurangan selama menimba ilmu dalam majelis tersebut.
Berikut bacaan doa kafaratul majelis yang diajarkan oleh Rasulullah ﷺ:
Doa Kafaratul Majelis (Arab)
سُبْحانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وبِحَمْدِكَ أشْهَدُ أنْ لا إِلهَ إِلاَّ أنْتَ أسْتَغْفِرُكَ وأتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
Doa Kafaratul Majelis (Latin)
Subhânakallâhumma wa bihamdika asyhadu an-lâilâha illâ anta astaghfiruka wa atûbu ilaik.
Artinya:
“Maha Suci Engkau, ya Allah. Segala sanjungan untuk-Mu. Aku bersaksi bahwa tiada Tuhan melainkan Engkau. Aku memohon ampun dan bertaubat kepada-Mu.”
Dalil Anjuran Membaca Doa Kafaratul Majelis yang Perlu Diketahui
Anjuran membaca doa kafaratul majelis dilandaskan pada beberpa dalil berikut:
Nabi Muhammad shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam bersabda,
“Tidaklah suatu kaum duduk dalam satu majelis yang mana mereka lalai dari mengingat Allah di dalamnya dan tidak berselawat kepada Nabi Muhammad shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam, kecuali kerugian dan penyesalan akan menimpa mereka di hari kiamat. Jika Allah berkehendak, maka Allah akan azab mereka. Dan jika Allah berkehendak, maka Allah akan ampuni mereka.” (HR. At-Tirmidzi no. 3380 dan dishahihkan oleh Syekh Al-Albani rahimahullah)
Diriwayatkan dari Abu Barzah Al-Aslami radhiyallahu ‘anhu,
“Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam biasanya ketika hendak bangkit dari majelis beliau mengucapkan,
سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك ، أشهد أن لا إله إلا أنت ، أستغفرك وأتوب إليك
‘Subhanaka allahumma wa bihamdika, asyhadu an laa ilaaha illa anta, astaghfiruka wa atubu ilaik.’
Artinya: “Mahasuci Engkau ya Allah. Dan segala pujian terhatur untuk-Mu. Tiada ilah yang berhak disembah kecuali Engkau. Aku memohon ampun kepada-Mu dan aku bertobat kepada-Mu.”
Kemudian seorang sahabat bertanya,
‘Wahai Rasulullah, Engkau baru saja berucap sesuatu yang belum pernah aku dapati engkau mengucapkan hal yang serupa.’
Maka Nabi Muhammad shallallahu ‘alaihi wasallama menjawab,‘Sebagai kaffarah yang terjadi di majelis.'” (HR. Abu Dawud no. 4859)
Penutup
Dalam Islam, memohon ampun atas kesalahan dan kesalahan yang telah dilakukan adalah suatu tindakan yang sangat penting dan harus dilakukan dengan tulus dan sungguh-sungguh. Termasuk pada saat menghadiri sebuah majelis ilmu, hendaknya mengakhiri dengan membaca doa kafaratul majelis. Dengan melakukan permohonan ampun dan memohon kepada Allah SWT untuk memberikan kemudahan dalam memahami dan mengamalkan ilmu agama, diharapkan setiap muslim dapat menjadi hamba yang lebih baik dan lebih taat kepada Allah SWT.
