Kisah Lengkap Peristiwa Hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ ke Madinah
Dalam Islam, peristiwa hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ dari kota Mekkah ke Madinah menjadi peristiwa penting titik awal perkembangan dakwah ajaran agama Islam. Dimana saat ini Nabi Muhammad ﷺ mengalami kesulitan dengan adanya perlawanan dan penolakan dari kaum kafir Quraisy.
Peristiwa hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ ke Madinah menggambarkan perjuangan beliau dalam mendakwahkan agama Islam. Yang mana pada saat itu penduduk Mekkah banyak melakukan kemusyrikan menolak ajaran Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. Bahkan kaum musyrikin merencanakan untuk membunuh Nabi Muhammad ﷺ.
Turunnya Wahyu Perintah Allah untuk Hijrah
Pada tahun 622 M, Nabi Muhammad ﷺ menerima wahyu dari Allah Subhanahu wat’ala melalui malaikat Jibril, yang isinya pemberitahuan tentang persekongkolan kaum musyrikin dan izin dari Allah kepada Nabi Muhammad ﷺ agar beliau hijrah ke Yathrib atau Madinah.
Di siang terik matahari, Nabi ﷺ kemudian pergi ke kediaman Abu Bakar untuk bersama-sama menyepakati tahapan hijrah. Setelah berdiskusi dengan Abu Bakar, maka Nabi Muhammad ﷺ kembali ke rumah beliau, menunggu datangnya malam untuk memulai hijrah.
Pengepungan Rumah Rasulullah ﷺ
Kaum musyrikin menggunakan waktu siang hari untuk memantapkan rencana keji mereka untuk membunuh Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. Untuk melancarkan aksi tersebut, dipilihlah sebelas orang dari kalangan mereka, yaitu :
- Abu Jahal bin Hisyam
- Al-Hakam bin Abul Ash
- Uqbah bin Abul Ash
- An-Nadhr bin Al-Harits
- Umayah bin Khalaf
- Zam’ah bin Al-Aswad
- Thu’aimah bin Adi
- Abu Lahab
- Ubay bin Khalaf
- Nabih bin Al-Hajjaj
- Munabbih bin Al-Hajjaj
Ketika malam tiba, mereka berkumpul di depan pintu rumah Rasulullah ﷺ dan mengintai kapan beliau bangun, sehingga dapat menyergapnya.
Kebiasaan yang Nabi ﷺ lakukan adalah tidur pada awal malam dan keluar menuju Masjid Haram setelah pertengahan atau dua pertiganya untuk shalat disana.
Saat itu kafir Quraisy benar-benar yakin rencana kejinya akan membuahkan hasil. Hal ini membuat Abu Jahal berdiri tegak penuh kesombongan dan keangkuhan. Waktu eksekusi yang mereka rencanakan adalah setelah lewat tengah malam saat Nabi ﷺ keluar dari rumah untuk shalat di Masjid Haram.
Mereka melwati malam dengan berjaga-jaga sembari menunggu tengah malam tiba.
Namun, Allah Maka Kuasa atas segalanya, Allah Maha Melindungi dan tidak ada yang dapat melindungi selain-Nya. Allah menepati janji yang telah di firmankan-Nya kepada Rasulullah ﷺ setelah itu:
وَاِذْ يَمْكُرُ بِكَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا لِيُثْبِتُوْكَ اَوْ يَقْتُلُوْكَ اَوْ يُخْرِجُوْكَۗ وَيَمْكُرُوْنَ وَيَمْكُرُ اللّٰهُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ خَيْرُ الْمٰكِرِيْنَ
“Dan (ingatlah), ketika orang-orang kafir (Quraisy) memikirkan tipu daya terhadapmu (Muhammad) untuk menangkap dan memenjarakanmu atau membunuhmu, atau mengusirmu. Mereka membuat tipu daya dan Allah menggagalkan tipu daya itu. Allah adalah sebaik-baik pembalas tipu daya.” (QS Al Anfal : 30)
Rasulullah ﷺ Meninggalkan Rumahnya
Sekalipun persiapan yang dilakukan oleh kaum kafir Quraisy mengepung rumah Rasulullah ﷺ dengan sangat ketat, mereka tetap mengalami kegagalan yang memalukan. Pada malam itu, Rasulullah ﷺ berkata kepada Ali bin Abu Thalib, “Tidurlah di tempat tidurku, berselimutlah dengan burdah hijau yang berasal dari Hadramaut milikku ini. Gunakanlah untuk tidurmu, sebab tidak akan ada sesuatu pun yang engkau benci dari mereka yang mampu menjangkaumu.”
Sementara Rasulullah ﷺ telah berhasil keluar dan menembus barisan penjagaan orang-orang Quraisy. Beliau memungut setumpuk tanah dari Al-Bathha’, lalu menaburkannya ke arah kepala mereka. Ketika itu, Allah telah mencabut pandangan mereka dari melihat beliau, sehingga tidak dapat melihat beliau keluar dari rumah. Sedangkan beliau membaca firman-Nya:
وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْۢ بَيْنِ اَيْدِيْهِمْ سَدًّا وَّمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّا فَاَغْشَيْنٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُوْنَ
“Dan Kami jadikan di hadapan mereka sekat (dinding) dan di belakang mereka juga sekat, dan Kami tutup (mata) mereka sehingga mereka tidak dapat melihat.” (QS Yasin : 9)
Kemudian Rasulullah ﷺ berjalan menuju kediaman Abu Bakar, kemudian keduanya keluar melalui pintu kecil (celah kecil) di bagian belakang rumah Abu Bakar dan menuju ke Gua Tsur (ke arah Yaman).
Saat itu orang-orang Quraisy yang mengepung rumah Rasulullah ﷺ tetap menunggu hingga waktu yang tepat dan menjelang tiba waktu terseut, tanda-tanda kegagalan sudah nampak bagi mereka. Seorang laki-laki yang tidak ikut dalam pengepungan tersebut datang dan melihat mereka sedang berada di pintu rumah Nabi ﷺ. Orang tersebut kemudian menanyai mereka, “Apa gerangan yang kalian tunggu?” Mereka menjawab, “Muhammad.”
Dia berkata, “Sungguh telah sia-sia dan merugilah kalian. Demi Allah, dia (muhammad) telah melewati kalian dan menaburkan tanah ke atas kepala kalian, lalu pergi.”
Mereka berkata, “Demi Allah, kami tidak melihatnya!” Mereka bangkit sambil mengusap tanahyang menempel di kepala mereka.
Untuk meyakinkan, mereka mengintip dari arah pintu dan melihat sosok yang mereka sangka Muhammad ﷺ. Mereka pun masih tetap menunggu hingga pagi menjelang. Ali bangun dari tempat tidur. Melihat hal ini, mereka menjadi linglung lalu menanyai Ali perihal Muhammad ﷺ. Dia menjawab, “Aku tidak mengetahui tentangnya.”
Perjalanan Rasulullah ﷺ Menuju Gua Tsur
Rasulullah ﷺ meninggalkan rumah beliau pada malam tanggal 27 Shafar tahun 14 kenabian, bertepatan 12 atau 13 September 622 Masehi. Ditengah kepungan orang-orang Quraisy, Rasulullah ﷺ berhasil keluar menuju rumah Abu Bakar, lantas bersama-sama keluar dari Mekkah secepatnya sebelum fajar terbit.
Rasulullah ﷺ telah mengetahui bahwa orang-orang Quraisy akan berupaya keras untuk mencarinya dan jalan yang pertama kali akan disisir oleh mereka adalah jalan utama kota Madinah yang menuju ke arah utara.
Oleh karena itu, beliau memilih jalan yang berlawanan arah yaitu jalan yang terletak di selatan Mekkah, yang menuju arah Yaman. Beliau menempuh jalan ini sepanjang 5 mil, hingga akhirnya sampai ke sebuah bukit yang dikenal dengan bukit Tsur atau Jabal Tsur, bukit yang tinggi dan jalannya terjal. Untuk mencapai gua jalan sulit didaki, dan banyak bebatuan. Kondisi ini membuat kaki Rasulullah ﷺ lecet.
Saat Berdua di Dalam Gua
Ketika tiba di mulut Gua Tsur, Abu Bakar berkata,”Demi Allah, jangan engkau masuk dulu sebelum aku masuk. Jika ada sesuatu di dalamnya, biarlah aku yang mengalaminya saja.” Kemudian Abu Bakar masuk melihat kondisi gua, lalu membersihkannya. Dia menemukan disampingnya ada beberapa lubang, lantas menyobek kainnya dan menyumbat lubang tersebut. Setelah dinilai aman, Abu Bakar kemudian berkata kepada Rasulullah ﷺ “Masuklah.”
Rasulullah ﷺ pun masuk dan merebahkan kepalanya dipangkuan Abu Bakar lalu tertidur, sementara kaki Abu Bakar disengat binatang berbisa dari lubang yang dia tutupi dengan kain. Namun, dia tidak bergerak sedikitpun menahan rasa sakit yang luar biasa karena khawatir membangunkan Rasulullah ﷺ. Kondisi ini membuat air matanya menetes membasahi wajah Rasulullah ﷺ. Beliau berkata, “Ada apa denganmu, wahai Abu Bakar?” Abu Bakar menjawab, “Wahai Rasulullah, aku telah disengat.”
Lantas Rasulullah ﷺ meludah kecil ke bekas sengatan tersebut, sehingga rasa sakit yang dialami Abu Bakar hilang sama sekali.
Tinggal di Dalam Gua Tsur Selama Tiga Malam
Nabi ﷺ dan Abu Bakar tinggal di dalam gua Tsur selama tiga malam, dari malam Jumat, Sabtu, hingga malam Ahad. Selama tinggal di gua Tsur, Abdullah putra Abu Bakar membantu perjalanan hijrah keduanya dengan memberikan informasi berita tentang orang-orang Quraisy. Sedangkan Amir bin Fuhairah, bekas budak Abu Bakar, memberikan minuman dari perahan susu kambing yang ia gembalakan.
Ketika Abdullah bin Abu Bakar pulang ke Mekkah, Amir bin Fuhairah menggiring kambingnya untuk mengikuti jejaknya guna menghapusnya, sehingga yang nampak adalah bekas jejak dia dan kambing yang digembalakannya.
Sementara itu, kaum Quraisy semakin menjadi-jadi kegilaannya manakala mengetahui Rasulullah ﷺ lolos dari rencana keji yang telah mereka siapkan. Kala itu yang mereka lakukan adalah memukuli Ali dan menyeretnya ke Ka’bah dan mengurungnya sesaat sebagai upaya untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang Rasulullah ﷺ. Namun upaya tersebut tidak membuahkan hasil.
Upaya Pengejaran Kaum Quraisy Terhadap Rasulullah ﷺ
Orang-orang Quraisy memutuskan untuk melakukan upaya pengejaran untuk menangkap Rasulullah ﷺ dan Abu Bakar. Mereka jadikan semua jalur menuju Mekkah dari semua penjuru di bawah pengawasan yang sangat ketat.
Selain itu, mereka juga memberikan hadiah sebesar 100 ekor unta bagi siapa yang dapat membawa Rasulullah ﷺ dan Abu Bakar ke hadapan orang-orang Quraisy baik dalam keadaan hidup atau mati.
Saat itu para pasukan berkuda, pejalan kaki, dan pelacak jejak sama-sama berupaya keras melakukan pencarian hingga ke lereng-lereng perbukitan, lembah, dataran rendah dan tinggi, namun tanpa hasil.
Hingga para pelacak tersebut telah sampai pula ke mulut gua Tsur, akan tetapi Allah Maha Menguasai urusan-Nya.
Imam Al-Bukhari meriwayatkan dari Anas dari Abu Bakar, dia berkata “Aku berada di sisi Nabi ﷺ di gua, lalu aku mengangkat kepalaku. Ternyata, disitu ada kaki-kaki mereka. Lantas aku berkata, ‘Wahai Rasulullah! Andaikata sebagian mereka menoleh ke bawah pasti dia dapat melihat kita.’ Beliau berkata, ‘Diamlah, wahai Abu Bakar! Kita berdua tapi yang ketiga adalah Allah”. Di dalam riwayat lain disebutkan, “Apa pendapatmu, bila ada dua orang sedangkan yang ketiganya adalah Allah?’”
Kejadian tersebut merupakan mukjizat yang dianugerahkan oleh Allah terhadap Nabi ﷺ, sehingga keberadaan beliau tidak diketahui oleh para kafir Quraisy.
Perjalanan Hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ ke Madinah
Ketika situasi dinilai sudah mulai aman dari upaya pengejaran orang-orang Quraisy, Rasulullah ﷺ dan Abu Bakar melanjutkan perjalanan hijrah ke Madinah. Ketika malam senin, awal Rabi’ul Awwal 1 H atau bertepatan dengan 16 September 622 Masehi keduanya berangkat dengan perbekalan dan unta yang telah disiapkan oleh Amir bin Fuhairah, yang juga ikut dalam perjalanan hijrah ke Madinah dengan menempuh jalur pesisir pantai.
Singgah di Quba
Setelah melakukan perjalanan berhari-hari, pada hari Senin, 8 Rabi’ul Awwal tahun 14 dari kenabian, yaitu tahun pertama dari hijrah, bertepatan 23 September 622 Masehi, Rasulullah ﷺ singgah di Quba
Kala itu, kaum Muslimin di Madinah mengetahui keluarnya Rasulullah ﷺ dari Mekkah. Sehingga mereka antusias menyambut kedatangan beliau dan menemui Rasulullah ﷺ di tapal perbatasan. Kaum Muslimin memekikkan takbir sebagai ungkapan kegembiraan mereka atas kedatangan Rasulullah ﷺ.
Mereka menyambut Rasulullah ﷺ dengan salam kenabian, mengerumuni beliau sembari berkeliling di seputarnya sementara Rasulullah ﷺ telah merasa tenang.
Di Quba, Rasulullah ﷺ singgah di kediaman Kultsum bin Al-Hadm. Sementara itu, Ali bin Au Thalib menyusul hijrah dari Mekkah dan berjumpa dengan Rasulullah ﷺ di Quba dan singgah juga di kediaman Kultsum bin Al-Hadm.
Rasulullah ﷺ tinggal di Quba selama empat hari. Dan selama itu pula beliau membangun Masjid Quba dan shalat di dalamnya. Masjid Quba inilah masjid pertama yang didirikan oleh Rasulullah ﷺ atas dasar takwa setelah kenabian.
Rasulullah ﷺ Memasuki Kota Madinah
Usai shalat Jumat, 13 Rabiul Awwal 1 H atau bertepatan 27 September 622 Masehi, Rasulullah ﷺ memasuki kota Madinah, dan sejak itu kota Yatsrib berganti nama menjadi Madinah.
Hari itu merupakan har bersejarah. Penduduk kota Madinah bergemuruh dengan pekikan tahmid (pujian) dan taqdis (penyucian) menyambut kedatangan Rasulullah ﷺ.
Di Madinah, Nabi ﷺ membentuk masyarakat orang-orang yang percaya dan membentuk aliansi politik dan sosial dengan suku-suku setempat. Salah satunya mempersatukan orang-orang Muhajirin dan Anshar. Hal ini memungkinkan beliau untuk menyebarkan Islam dan membangun fondasi kuat untuk agama.
Penutup
Mendapat perlawanan dari orang-orang kafir Quraisy di Mekkah, menyebabkan Rasulullah ﷺ mengambil keputusan untuk hijrah ke Yatsrib (Madinah), namun keputusan ini juga dilandasi dari wahyu Allah.
Hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ ke Madinah juga menandai awal kegiatan politik dan militer Nabi ﷺ, yang akhirnya mengarah pada penaklukan Mekkah dan penyebaran Islam di seluruh Jazirah Arab.
Disisi lain, atas usul Umar bin Khatab untuk mengabadikan peristiwa hijrah Nabi Muhammad ﷺ dari Mekkah ke Madinah, maka tercetuslah penanggalan kalender Hijriyah sebagai penanggalan dalam Islam.
